CALL FOR PROPOSALS


The 2022 LS-PAC MODELS Diversity in STEM Conference will provide a forum for learning, collaboration, networking, and exchange of ideas among individuals and organizations that have an interest in diversifying the STEM pipeline. We welcome proposals from students, faculty, administrators, and other professionals in the STEM/broadening participation community.

Professional Submission Guidelines

We are accepting proposals for the following types of sessions that address the conference topics below.

Audience: Sessions should be geared toward one of the following audiences:

  1. Scholars (undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral)

  2. Professionals in higher education and STEM fields

Types of Sessions:

Presentations: 60-minute sessions in which a presenter or team of presenters provides information relevant to one of the conference topic areas

Panel/Roundtable Discussions: 90-minute sessions that offer presenters an opportunity to introduce a topic and facilitate discussions around the topic from various perspectives

Workshops: 90-minute professional development sessions that are interactive, hands-on, professional learning experiences that focus on one or more of the conference topic areas

Lightning Presentations: 5 or 18-minute talks in which a presenter provides information in a quick, concise format relevant to one of the conference topic areas

  • Short Talks: 18-minute impactful presentations that highlight innovation and ideas related to one or more of the conference topic areas.

  • IGNITE: 5-minute fast-paced concise, oral presentation that shares new information and ignites conversations focused on the conference topic areas.
